Favorite Podcasts/Newsletters
We are drowning in information. Every day, my “to read and listen” queue gets bigger and bigger.
Nonetheless, here are a few podcasts and newsletters I faithfully listen to every week:
Podcasts
Ones and Tooze: I am awestruck by Columbia University Professor Adam Tooze’s erudition and productivity. He makes the most obscure topic- like the monetary policy of Bulgaria- interesting and relevant!
After Hours: Two HBS professors talk about a couple of topics every week. Always enlightening. I enjoy the chemistry between the two. The recommendations at the end are always good.
Catalyst is focused on the latest trends in climate tech.
Lex Friedman “Conversations about the nature of intelligence, consciousness, love, and power”. Interesting guests, sometimes controversial but always thought-provoking conversations. The latest one with Jeff Bezos is fantastic.
Newsletters
1. Marginal Revolution/Taylor Cowen-the breadth and width of Prof Cowen’s reading and scholarship is amazing. His multiple weekly links inevitably produce some interesting readings.
2. Works in Progress- a magazine of “new and underrated ideas to improve the world”. Topics range from zoning reform in New Zealand to the economics of copper.
3. Cold Eye Earth-the economics of energy transition
4. Benedict’s Newsletter - tech focused. Good eye for long trends.
